Job Summary:


This position is accountable for overall supervision and productivity of assigned EMB machine operators and QCs.  Communicate with team members regarding priorities, work load and deadlines.  This position is also responsible for processing embroidery orders though preparing garments, running an embroidery and laser machine, and making quality adjustments as necessary. Support Quality Control Specialist as needed with folding, boxing and counting garments, record styles and quantities of garments produced.  


Mon-Thurs 4pm-2am                   OT as needed




Essential Job Functions for EMB Team Lead:


  • Ensure team members are appropriately trained in the areas of job responsibility, safety, and company policy
  • Motivate all team members to achieve personal and department success
  • Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality, keeping Celeritime updated and processing bi-weekly payroll sign-off procedures
  • Conducts weekly check-ins with team and  assesses performance/attendance
  • Conduct quarterly performance and yearly increase reviews with employees
  • Manage and direct daily priorities
  • Understands and utilizes production reports and work orders to organize and manage priorities
  • Requesting help from other areas to meet goals
  • Maintain Lakeshirts' acceptable standard of quality per garment. Inspect garments for correct ink/thread colors, proper logo placement, labels and general flaws
  • Communicate with, or walk to, inventory department to gather replacement garments as needed
  • Sort and fold garments by size/color/garment
  • Organize work flow



  • Maintain Lakeshirts' goals in the area of garments per employee hour, on-time percentages and error rate
  • Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
  • Works actively with others in the department and company to achieve positive results  
  • Other duties as assigned




Essential Job Functions for EMB Machine Operator:


  • Analyze orders to identify design and determine thread colors
  • Change embroidery machine threads including threading needles
  • Verify quality and quantity of the clothing and embroidery
  • Attach hoops to the garments
  • Access order specifications through computer spreadsheets
  • Navigate through computer programs to process garment order on embroidery and/or laser machine
  • Operate embroidery machine computer and laser machine
  • Maintain Lakeshirts' acceptable standard of quality per garment
  • Communicate with, or walk to, inventory department to gather replacement garments as needed
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Organize work flow
  • Follow safety practices. Identify problems and work to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
  • Work actively with others to get the job done
  • Other duties as assigned




  • High school education or GED required
  • Supervisory background experience required
  • Must have strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to get results through the team
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), problem resolution, sound judgment, pro-active, people-oriented, flexible, organized, diplomatic, strong listening skills, reliable, enthusiastic, courteous and result oriented  
  • Hours must be flexible according to workloads
  • Must be highly organized with ability to work with deadlines and changing priorities
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Must be reliable, responsible and take direction well
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for several hours
  • Ability to be stand for at least 10 hours a day
  • Previous production or sewing experience preferred, but not required
  • Microsoft Word, Doc and Excel knowledge required
