As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall manufacturing (internal/external partners), distribution and logistics operations for all ESGC products.  This includes forecasting, planning, sourcing/product acquisitions, custom compliance, logistics and distribution, as well as running a cost-efficient production facility and efficient operations using methods and application of continuous improvement.  This position provides overall leadership for all aspects of ESGC product manufacturing, including fabric buying and fabric production, pre-production, production (cut, sew, trims), and warehouse (shipping/receiving), ensuring ESGC is driven by a focus on the customer along with meeting social compliance expectations.  This includes 6 direct reports and 20+ indirect. 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage and oversee overall manufacturing of ESGC product, including both internal and external partners. 
  • Establish, make visible, and monitor production goals for clear direction to achieve overall company objectives.  (rating architecture, execution plans, developing metrics and KPI's).
  • Together with department leaders, establish priorities and allocate resources to align with company goals and wow our customers.
  • Work with leaders and human resources to recognize internal talent, provide development, and identify opportunities for employee growth.
  • Provide direction, development, and leadership to leaders, coaching to problem solve and performing daily checks on established leader standard work.
  • Regularly deliver visible metrics on reliable and responsive delivery, quality, and production capacity to management team.
  • Collaborate with leaders in all areas of ESGC on process improvements, as well as current and upcoming operational needs.
  • Work with human resources to attract, hire, and train staff effectively.
  • Support and foster our value of team, working with leaders to develop and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Promote a learning environment of continuous improvement; leading root cause analysis for all quality related issues and leading implementation of improved best practice standards.
  • Identify and participate in opportunities for continued learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing or supervising a staff of at least 10 is required.
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills.
  • Welcoming of change nimble and open minded.
  • Personable, friendly, energetic, humble, optimistic, and have a good sense of humor.
  • Ability to foster company culture to support the vision and core values at ESGC.
  • Ensure and maintain harmonious and positive working environment
  • Multi-lingual- English, Spanish, Korean preferred
