A Typical Day (job functions) | People + Communicate + Scheduling + Support + Organize

  • Assist with the overall recruitment process 
    • Assist in job description creation and updates
    • Assist with development of values based interview plan for each open position
    • Prescreen applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
    • Coordinate prescreening interviews and tours
    • Coordinate interviews with hiring leads
    • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the applicant software
    • Conduct reference and background checks for potential employees
    • Assist with preparation and communication of offers
    • Post openings in newspaper advertisements, job boards, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues
  • Coordinate employee on-boarding process
    • New employee paperwork completion
    • Prepare new employee orientation packets
    • Assist with employee orientation, as needed
  • Schedule exit interviews and process information accordingly
  • Provide administrative support to Performance Management System
    • 90 day evaluations- schedule meetings, update skills matrix, etc...
    • Performance Development Plan- data administration and distribution
    • EE Engagement Survey- data administration and distribution
  • Maintain employee files, including filing as needed
  • Assist with special event coordination
  • Assist with projects as needed
  • Assist with payroll as needed, including payroll backup
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills (qualifications) | Adaptable + Team Attitude + Microsoft Proficient + Organization

  • High school diploma, some college courses preferred, but not required
  • 1-2 years of HR experience or Office Administration required
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices helpful
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word required
  • Experience in Google docs preferred, but not required
  • Experience in database management and record keeping
  • Ability to work with a broad range of personalities and styles and consistently foster teamwork
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of Human Resources work
  • Highly organized and timeline driven
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to change and shifts in daily priorities
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assignments
  • Ability to work independently, with capability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be reliable, responsible, flexible and take direction well
  • Must be able to handle multiple interruptions and follow through
  • Type 45+ words per minute
