Because of our tremendous growth, we are hiring an additional Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will champion areas of art, screenprint, embroidery, stickers/accessories, and post production; this includes 8-10 direct reports and nearly 300 indirect reports. Together with leaders, this position is responsible for establishing priorities and allocating resources to align with company goals to wow our customers.

Our ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who possesses a strong ability to guide and develop individuals and teams. This individual must be metric-driven with the ability to establish, make visible, and monitor goals for clear team direction to achieve overall company objectives. We're looking for an engineering and strategic-minded individual, who is nimble and proactive in the face of constant change and growth.  And most importantly, they must be humble, energetic with a sense of humor and open to embracing our values-driven culture on a daily basis.

  • Champion of all things art, screenprint, embroidery, stickers/accessories and post production, leading a team of 8-10 direct reports and nearly 300 indirect reports
  • Establish, make visible, and monitor goals for clear team direction to achieve overall company objectives
  • Together with leaders, establish priorities and allocate resources to align with company goals and wow our customers
  • Work with leaders and human resources to recognize internal talent, provide development, and identify opportunities for employee growth
  • Provide direction, development, and guidance to leaders, coaching to problem solve and performing daily checks on established leader standard work
  • Regularly deliver visible metrics on reliable and responsive delivery, quality, and production capacity to management team
  • Collaborate with managers in all areas of Lakeshirts on process improvements, as well as current and upcoming operational needs
  • Work with human resources to attract, hire, and train staff effectively
  • Support and foster our value of team, working with leaders to develop and maintain a positive work environment
  • Promote a learning environment of continuous improvement, leading root cause analysis for all quality-related issues and leading implementation of improved best practice standards
  • Identify and participate in opportunities for continued learning
  • Responsible for compliance of Fair Labor Association benchmarks as outlined by the FLA

Skills (qualifications) | People Person + Visual Metrics + Systems Engineering + Live our Values + Humble Demeanor + Continuous Improvement (mentioned multiple times because it's that important)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering or related field required
  • 5+ years of operations management experience with strong emphasis in engineering and management in manufacturing
  • Experience in the apparel industry preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop individuals and teams, with experience managing 8-10 direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability with performance metrics, and continuous improvement techniques
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and data visualization tools
  • Strategic mindset; excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to provide oral and written communication to all levels of employees within the Company
  • Ability to work cooperatively across multiple departments
  • Welcoming of change, nimble and open minded; ability to work in a rapidly changing and growing environment
